Three-Face Guang- In Jade Stand, H.5cm, W.3cm, 100 grams. Carved with green jade, the object may be served as a jade pendant or jade stand. The three faces imply the three phases of human’s life : the past, the present and the future. It perfectly stands upright. With a hole at the center, the object has three faces of a low relief carving of Guang- In, Avalokiteśvara. The whole object was affected by the yellow color earth which made it look like calcification. With a solemn and kind looking, the forehead is decorated with the auspicious motif. The carving has the genre of the Tang Dynasty.
