Qing Dynasty Breast nipple motif dual jade Bi, W.19cm, H. 5cm, D. 0.7cm, 72grams

Carved with white Hetian jade, the object has two Bi with breast nipple motif connected by a rhombus structure symbolizing the breast of a mother. The object may be served as a gift for marriage. The breast nipple motif is a symbol of mother who should be remembered after the daughter has married to her husband. The antiquity evidences include cleaving vein and differential weathering.
