A Systematic Method of Chinese Antique Jade Collection

There are so many Chinese antique jades available for us to collect. What kind of the jades should we collect? One method analogous to stamp collection is as follows: Take for the Songze Culure (3400-3300BCE) jade as example. We may examine the unearthed Songze Culture jades displayed in the public museums. Study the description of the general feature of the culture and the jade artifacts representing it. Then find out the antique jades in the marketplace. For example, if there is one Songze Culture jade which may fit the missing items which the museums don’t have. That item is definitely worth to collect. In addition, by studying the various forms of ritual jade, to collect the individual pieces comprising the whole set such as the Sanxingdui Culture priests holding the ritual jade.
