唐代白玉元寶，長25公分

元寶一詞， 自從唐代開元通寶發行後便開始盛行， 後來引伸為代表財富。 本器白玉雕琢， 整體造型為帶執耳元寶， 元寶中央球面體及兩側均飾菊花紋， 上端表面補白飾蔓藤淺浮雕。菊花與梅蘭竹並稱為四君子, 採菊東籬下，悠然見南山為陶淵明之名句. 本器雕工精美具唐代風格， 古玉跡象有差異風化， 溶蝕孔及鈣化跡象。

Tang Dynasty Jade Ingot, L.25cm

Carved with white jade, the object has the shape of ingot with handles at both ends of the ingot. At the center and handles of the ingot, low relief chrysanthemum flowers are decorated. On the top surface, plant veins are decorated. Together with plum, orchid and bamboo, chrysanthemum is one of the four flowers representing gentleman in the Chinese culture. Japanese  culture inherited the Chinese culture of the Tang Dynasty, no wonder that chrysanthemum  is a very important element appeared in Japanese art works.( Lower right image is a floating world (ukiyo-e ) painting, the dress of the beauty is decorated with chrysanthemum)
