These jade plaques are supposed to be used as ornaments decorated for dress or garments in the Sanxingdui Culture period more than two thousands years ago. Compare to modern dress fashion, the dresses in Warring States period of China were more sophisticated and carries more meaning for the person who dresses it. The dresses are obvious  important elements of Chinese culture.These jades plaques are significant in the Chinese jade carving skill. Similar carving skill with extra fine lines on jade also found in the Liangzhu culture.
