本器青玉雕琢。熊呈站立之姿，扭身側首表情靦腆憨厚，狀甚可愛。體態肥碩，垂乳凸肚，前肢揚起搔撓後腦，耳後長鬃毛下披，《史記.楚世家》載：「高陽者，黃帝之孫，昌意之子也。」楚的先祖為顓頊帝高陽氏，有熊氏黃帝之後。漢承楚風，玉熊展現的則是浪漫與寫實高度結合，其造型比例及動作準確。本器古玉跡象為鈣化及溶蝕孔. Carved with pale tone jade, the object is a standing bear with one hand scratching her head. showing an expression of simple and honest. Antiquity evidences are dissolved pits and calcification.
