本器黃玉雕琢, 形制為自上而下圭琮璧璜合體, 圭琮兩側飾龍鳳紋, 玉璧分三層, 最外層飾鏤空龍鳳紋, 最內圈為鏤刻建(元) 年號, 中間層陰刻篆體輪台詔銘文, ”…問以所聞。今邊塞未正，闌出不禁，障候長吏使卒獵獸，以皮肉為利，卒苦而烽火乏，失亦上集不得，後降者來，若捕生口虜，乃知之。當今禁苛暴，止擅賤用本農，修馬複令…”.左側落款劉徹. 玉璜部分以雙龍首為主體,玉璜琢篆體”英及子孫後裔”, 以雙鳳鳥連結玉璧, .本器不但形制特殊, 構圖嚴謹, 刀工精美, 管鑽及游絲毛雕跡象明顯, 風化網紋是到代有力佐證.本璧為中國歷史存世見證瑰寶,天子祭天禮器重現圭琮璧璜上銘文漢武帝輪台詔文唯一存世珍品.(頤和園古文物珍藏)
