漢武帝劉徹（前156年－前87年3月29日），西漢第七位皇帝，是漢代乃至中國歷史上最享負盛名和對後世最具影響力的傑出的皇帝之一.也是中國歷史上在位最長的漢人皇帝，更是第一個使用年號的皇帝。其年號如下:

后元(後元)為漢武帝最後一個年號.

本器黃玉雕琢, 形制為出廓玉璧.形制為出廓玉璧, 出廓部分, 由上而下, 鏤刻后字, 其次為天帝, 下方為元字, 兩側為鏤空鳳紋及鏤刻龍紋. 玉璧分兩層, 外層四側鏤刻龍身神面, 內側飾兩兩相向龍首.刀工精美, 管鑽及游絲毛雕跡象明顯, 本璧刀工精美, 管鑽及游絲毛雕跡象明顯外.本璧為中國歷史漢武帝后元年號物證瑰寶.(頤和園古文物珍藏)

Carved with yellow-tone jade, the object is an open carving bi with an attached extension. From the top-down, the year title of Yuan is carved, and next to it is God’s symbol.  on the bottom is the year title of Hou is carved. Both sides are surrounded by open work phoenix and dragon. The bi is divided into two sections: the outer section is decorated with open work of God’s face with a dragon body. The inner section is decorated with eight dragons with heads facing each other. In addition to the mastery of carving with high skill, this bi is an important record of the year title of Chinese history. ( Peace Garden Museum collection)
