本器和田青玉雕琢, 形制為出廓鏤空玉璧. 出廓部分頂端飾相背雙鳳, 下方中央飾鏤空篆體長宜子孫, 銘文左右各飾龍首相向雙龍及相背雙龍. 玉璧如同另一玉璧玉璧型制, 分為兩層, 外層於四等份處以形中有形呈現方式飾神面及龍鳳合體紋, 神面的雙眼同時成為龍鳳的雙眼. 龍鳳紋中央鑲嵌錨形符號, 表示大漢的江山底定. 玉璧內層陰刻篆體取材自史記高祖本紀部分銘文”…高祖為人，黑子。仁而愛人，喜施，意豁如也。常有大度，呂公…”落款<漢高祖>.本器除了構圖巧思獨特外, 雕工更是精湛優美. 加以本器差異風化, 擴散暈沁色, 溶蝕孔, 石灰沁等古玉跡象明顯, 是漢代大型鏤空出廓玉璧精品. The object is carved from Hetian green-tone jade, and the form is an open-worked jade bi with outer extensions. At the center of the extension, is a pair of back-to-back phoenixes. Below is the script of benefit to the offspring forever( 長宜子孫) in seal style. The jade bi is divided into two sections. The outer section is decorated with a divine face and a dragon and phoenix pattern in the form of a tangible representation in four equal parts. The eyes of the divine face become the eyes of the dragon and the phoenix at the same time. An anchor-shaped symbol is inlaid in the center of the dragon and phoenix pattern, which represents the establishment of the Han Dynasty. The inner section has inscribed in seal script all taken from: 《史記高祖本紀》”Great Grand Father’s Annal  of”Records of the Grand Historian“. 正面“高祖，沛豐邑中陽裏人，姓劉氏，字季。父曰太公，母曰劉媼。其先劉媼嘗息大澤之陂，夢與神遇。是時雷電晦冥，太公往視，則見蛟龍於其上。已而有身，遂產高祖。高祖為人，隆準而龍顏，美須髯，左股有七十二黑子。仁而愛人，喜施，意豁如也。常有大度，不事家人生產作業。及壯，試為吏”. 反面” 為泗水亭長，廷中吏無所不狎侮，好酒及色。常從王媼、武負貰酒，醉臥，武負、王媼見其上常有龍，怪之。高祖每酤留飲，酒讎數倍。及見怪，歲竟，此兩家常折券棄責。高祖常繇咸陽，縱觀，觀秦皇帝，喟然太息曰：「嗟乎，大丈夫當如此也！」單父人呂公善沛令，避仇從之客，因家沛焉。”signed by Han kuozi (漢高祖)(This is a brief family history of The Emperor Lieu Ban and the Empress of Lu).The hole at the center of bi is decorated with a seal style漢 (Han).  The composition of this bi is unique and the carving is exquisite and beautiful. In addition, it has differential weathering, diffusive markings, and calcification signs. All make the object a wonderful Han Dynasty large open-worked jade bi.
