本器和田青玉雕琢, 形制為出廓玉璧. 出廓部分頂端中央飾呂字, 以示此璧與呂后的關聯性, 呂字左右及下端飾吉祥符號, 一穀紋璧毗鄰下端吉祥符號, 璧的兩側由雙龍庇護. 璧的部分分兩層, 外層飾龍鳳及四靈神獸淺浮雕, 內層為穀紋淺浮雕,彰顯呂后時的漢朝國泰民安五穀豐收. 據<史記呂太后本紀>記載, 呂后^, 漢高祖劉邦皇后，或稱漢高后、呂太后、高皇后, 是中國歷史上首位皇后、皇太后。本器雕工精湛, 紋飾細膩生動, 加以差異風化, 擴散暈沁色, 溶蝕孔, 石灰沁等古玉跡象明顯, 是漢代大型出廓玉璧精品. (來源:  家族百年收藏)

The object is carved from green tone Hetian jade and has the form of jade bi with an extension attachment. The top of the attachment is decorated with the character Lu in the center to show the connection between this bi and Empress Lu. The left and right sides and the lower end of the Lu character are decorated with auspicious symbols. The two sides of the bi are sheltered by double dragons. The part of the bi is divided into two layers, the outer layer is decorated with bas-reliefs of dragons and phoenixes and four spirits and beasts, and the inner layer is bas-reliefs crop patterns. According to the records “Historical Records of Empress Lu Chapter”, Empress Lu,  is the first empress in Chinese history. The craftsmanship is exquisite and vivid.   With differential weathering, diffused markings, dissolving pits, and calcification, it is a large-scale jade bi with extension in the Han Dynasty.
