本器和田白玉雕琢, 形制為鏤空出廓玉璧. 出廓部分最頂端飾以天帝淺浮雕紋飾的玉圭, 下端為神面淺浮雕單節玉琮, 圭琮兩側飾龍紋. 玉琮下方飾山形器下接一鏤空篆體元字, 連同玉璧孔內的鏤空篆體鼎字, 示意元鼎年號(元鼎（前116年－前111年）是漢武帝的第五個年號，也被認為是年號制度確立的開始。漢朝使用元鼎這個年號一共六年.). 元字下方飾神面, 元字及神面兩側各一立姿龍身緊接玉璧的璜. 玉璧分兩層, 外層飾上下左右四組相向與神面融為一體的鳳鳥. 內層飾上下兩組神面龍身合體. 本器構圖以四瑞為主體, 融合神仙龍鳳吉祥元素, 意涵祈求元鼎祥瑞昇平. 其次, 本器雕工精湛, 各紋飾的呈現 細膩生動, 加以差異風化, 擴散暈沁色, 溶蝕孔, 石灰沁等古玉跡象明顯, , 誠屬是漢代鏤空玉璧精品. This object is carved from Hetian white jade and is in the shape of an open-worked jade bi with extension. The top part of the extension is decorated with a jade kwei, which is decorated with low-relief patterns of the Emperor of Heaven. The lower part is decorated with a mountain-shaped object followed by a hollow seal script yuan character, together with the hollow seal script and in the hole of the jade bi, indicating the year of the Yuan Ding. Below the Yuan character is decorated with a divine face, and on both sides of the Yuan character and the divine face is a standing dragon with a dragon body next to the jade bi. The jade bi is divided into two layers. The upper and lower layers are decorated with two groups of gods and dragons that face each other. The composition of the bi is mainly composed of four auspicious elements, incorporating auspicious elements of gods, dragons, and phoenixes, praying for auspiciousness and prosperity in the Yuan Ding era. The object is exquisitely carved, and the presentation of each pattern is delicate and vivid and signs of differential weathering, diffusive marking, and dissolved pits. It is a fine jade bi of the Han Dynasty.
