The object is carved from Hetian green tone jade and is in the form bi. The bi is divided into four sections. The center top of the outermost section is decorated with the Heavenly Emperor with double dragons in both hands, and the left and right fairies are dancing. The other parts are decorated with dragon and phoenix patterns. The second section is carved with scripts” 左君子之弓致遠大以走和不閒 奔杆迴珠耕半比采貳別枝” meaning that a gentleman is determined to be lofty and make sure that the direction to work hard is correct. The third section is the open-worked dragon motif. The inner section is the grain pattern. This object is exquisitely carved, and the patterns of each pattern are delicately carved. The text carving is more elegant and graceful. With differential weathering, diffusive markings, and dissolved pit antiquity signs, it is definitely an elegant Han Dynasty jade bi with inscriptions
